Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I get and how does it work? Each cable can accommodate a maximum of 4 riders per hour, ensuring a minimum of 15 minutes of water time per person during each session. During a standard session a rider can expect two outings of about 7-8 mins each, with a rest in between to chat with the coaches and watch other riders in the session.
Can I book more than one session? 15 minutes doesn’t sound like very long. Sure you can but believe us when we say 15 minutes of water time is enough for a session. (Your arms will thank us for you the following day!) Should there be less than 4 riders per session, we endeavour to allocate extra water time to each participant equally but you are very welcome to book more than one slot per person if you want extra water time. You’ll only need to pay for equipment hire once each day you visit us.
Do you provide coaching? Yes, all our sessions include complementary instruction from our experienced coaches - so feel free to let them know if you want to work on anything. in particular
What time am I on the water? Each session starts on the hour, so we ask that all participants arrive at least 20-30 minutes before the start of the hour session in order to check in, get changed and be ready to ride at start of the hour. Important: Late comers cannot be accommodated once the session has started, so make sure you arrive nice and early!
How do I book? The easiest way to book an activity is by using our online booking system. It allows you to view availability and pick the best slot for yourself. If you are inquiring about corporate bookings, private hire events or a large group booking (more than 10 people), we prefer to arrange that over email. For these special booking enquiries please contact us on “bookings@wakeupdocklands.com”
What do I need to bring to the lesson and whats included? Just something to wear under your wetsuit, (e.g. swim shorts/costume/bikini) and a towel. We have wetsuits and wakeboards available to rent via our booking system if you don’t have your own. The wearing of impact jackets and helmets is mandatory and provided free of charge.
